I’ve often wondered if chefs ever get sick of cooking the same thing. These days, with so many menus changing seasonally, if not daily, that seems to be less of a concern. But still – if one works in, say, a Thai restaurant, but yearns to show the world he or she can also make a mean Bolognese, that would have to be frustrating, right?

For those of us who garden, frequent farmers markets and also find ourselves driving to places like Kroger and Costco several times a week, it can be hard to remember there are neighborhoods near us where fresh produce is about as seasonal as snow is around here.
