• Let’s go out to the ballpark! Tobacco Road Baseball works with under-resourced teens and gives them the chance to increase their skills. Drivers are needed to help transport players to practice at 5:30 p.m. at Chewning Middle School. Help out one day a week or more! Call Daniel Rosoff at 919-450-8372.
• Are you an active or retired accountant with an interest in animal welfare? Independent Animal Rescue needs a treasurer to serve on its board of directors. We hope to find someone who could start by October 2012.
• Learn how to find information about volunteer opportunities in the Triangle online at our general volunteer orientation, Tuesday, July 24, at 7pm at the North Regional Library at 221 Milton Road. Representatives from the Salvation Army, YO: Durham, Spirit Esteem Athletics and Tobacco Road Baseball will be on hand to share.
