Senior Holiday Party

Durham Parks and Recreation will hold its annual Senior Holiday Party for adults ages 55 and older from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at the Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center, 4700 Emperor Blvd. Tickets are $15 for city residents and $20 for non-residents. Pet Photos with Santa

Northgate Mall will hold a “Paws and Claus” event where pets can take photos with Santa from 1 to 6 p.m. at Center Court/customer service center area. Cost will be $11 for a 5x7 photo or $13 for four wallet size photos. Proceeds will benefit Triangle Pets Alive.

Pre-Chanukah Event

Chabad of Durham/Chapel Hill will hold a pre-Chanukah event from 1 to 3 p.m. at UNC Hillel, 210 W. Cameron Ave., Chapel Hill. The Mentalist, Marc Salem, will perform. Neighborhood Christmas Parade

Parkwood United Methodist Church will hold its annual neighborhood Christmas parade at 2 p.m. along Revere Road.

Tuesday

Christmas Concert Event

The Duke Chorale will perform its Christmas concert at 7 p.m. in the Duke Chapel at Duke University. Admission is one nonperishable food item. music.duke.edu.

Holiday Lighting

Northgate Mall’s Santa and Mrs. Claus will join lighting festivities and judge the Triangle Christmas tree challenge at 7 p.m. at the American Tobacco Campus.

Saturday

Storytelling with Mrs. Claus

Mrs. Claus will read the children’s holiday book, “The Elf On The Shelf” at 10:30 a.m., noon, 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. at the Macy’s Court at Northgate Mall.

Movie Event

A film presentation of The Elf on the Shelf holiday story will be shown at 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the Stadium 10 Theaters at Northgate Mall. Tickets are $1.

Christmas Market

Outsiders Art & Collectibles will hold the fourth annual Christmas Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Guglhupf Bakery, Cafe & Patisserie, 2706 Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd. Guglhupf will also hold its fourth annual Weihnachtsmarkt. There will be holiday shopping, food, mulled cider, artists and live music. Lakewood Avenue Children’s School will hold a book drive for Book Harvest, Happymess Studio will hold a craft table for children and Cassandra from Character Paints will be face painting.
