OngoingFaith Summit on Child PovertyDurhams Partnership for Children, a Smart Start Initiative and End Poverty Durham will hold a Faith Summit on Child Poverty from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 24 at the Union Baptist Church, 904 N. Roxboro St. The summit will break down the issue of child poverty into three age groups of birth to age 5, elementary age and high school. The Rev. J. Herbert Nelson, II, director of the Presbyterian Church Office of Public Witness, will be the keynote speaker. A recommended donation of $10 will cover the cost of lunch and breaks.
