A call just before 10:30 p.m. sent officers to the 900 block of East Main Street to investigate what had been reported as a disturbance involving a weapon.

They found a 41-year-old man wounded, and EMS medics took him to a local hospital, police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said.

Investigators were trying to piece together what happened, she said.
