Landlord training workshop

Mindfulness meditation discussion

Arawana Hayashi will lead a discussion on “Mindfulness Meditation: Joining Body and Mind” at 7:30 p.m. in room 4 of the Sanford Building at Duke’s Sanford School of Public Policy, 201 Science Drive. Blue Devils Toastmasters

The Blue Devils Toastmasters Club meets from noon to 1 p.m. the first and third Friday of every month in Room 203 of the Duke Human Resources Building, 705 Broad St. The club focuses on improving public speaking, communication and leadership skills.

‘Awake, My Soul!’

Alice Wisler, “Getting Out of Bed in the Morning: Reflections of Comfort in Heartache,” will speak at Bethesda Baptist Church’s “Awake, My Soul!” program for women at 9 a.m. at 194 S. Miami Blvd. There will also be breakfast and music.

Durham Farmers’ Market

Ann Millett-Gallant at The Regulator

Ann Millett-Gallant will read from and sign her new memoir, “Re-Membering,” at 2 p.m. at The Regulator Bookshop, 720 Ninth St.

COGnizant Women’s Ride

A beginner and cruiser friendly bike ride for women is held at 3 p.m. every third Saturday of the month beginning at the Durham Bike Co-op, 715 Washington St.
