• Durham senior Parth Thakker from the N.C. School of Science & Mathematics recently earned a $2,500 scholarship from eSchoolView for his Web Design & Develoment scholarship submission. The education website development company has awarded eight scholarships as part of its “Investing Our Future” program. Thakker plans to attend Harvard University in the fall and pursue a degree with a focus in computer science.

•  Liz Riley Buno, MHS, PA-C, was recently honored by the American Academy of Physician Assistance (AAPA) and the Physician Assistant Education Association with the Paragon Award for Preceptor of the Year. The award honors a physician assistant (PA) who has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in the clinical education of PA students as both a mentor and instructor.
