Bull City Play Streets

The city and county of Durham and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina will host Bull City Play Streets with activities for kids and adults from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 205 S. Elm St.

Story time

Barnes & Noble will host a Father’s Day story time with “Mighty Dads” by Joan Holub at 11 a.m. at 5400 New Hope Commons.

Summer reading kickoff

Durham County Library’s summer reading kickoff will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Northgate Mall, 1058 W. Club Blvd. There will be performers and activities including the Scrap Exchange, Paint Savvy, North Carolina Zoo, Museum of Natural Sciences, Durham Arts Council, Mad Science, storytelling, face painting, crafts and bounce houses.

North Carolina Zoo staff will speak from 10-10:45 a.m. inside the mall. The Criss Cross Mangosauce group will perform at 10:15 a.m. outside in the plaza. A Flow Circus performance will be from 11-11:45 a.m. inside the mall. Lunch Money will perform from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. outside in the plaza. Mad Science will be from noon to 12:45 inside. durhamcountylibrary.org.

Saturday Storytime

The Regulator Bookshop will host Saturday Storytime for kids at 11 a.m. at 720 Ninth St.
