Man found shot to death in Durham

A man was found fatally shot in Durham early Saturday morning.

Durham police responded to a shooting at 1:40 a.m. Saturday at 3010 E. Weaver St., according to a news release. They found Derek Huggins Junior, 19, lying on the ground, dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police don’t know why he was killed and are looking for information. No one has been arrested.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.
