David Garrard, starting quarterback for the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars, will be at the Durham Eagles Football Camp for boys and girls ages five to 15 Saturday, May 31, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The free event is at Southern High School, where Garrard played before going to East Carolina University. The football camp is non-contact.
Players should dress appropriately for the weather. The event has no connection with Pop Warner football. The public is encouraged to come and meet Garrard.
RACINGBICYCLE RACERS can participate in the Carolina Speedway Series May 10 and 11 at the Orange County Speedway in Rougemont. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The races run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and vary from 10 laps to an hour in length. For more information, see the Web site,

Yoga, mobiles, collages and painting are on the agenda for "Everything Art," June 16-20 for ages 6-12. "Art, Art, Martial Arts" mixes karate, yoga, collages and story writing from June 23-27 for ages 6-12.
"Asian Arts" teaches Japanese vocabulary, origami and scroll hanging from July 7-11 for ages 6-12.
