Today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Clayworks Pottery Guild will hold its annual spring pottery sale at Forest Hills Park in front of the community building at 1639 University Drive.

The event is free, there will be plenty of parking and door prizes will be awarded every hour. This is a good opportunity to get that last minute Mother's Day gift, something for yourself or for that special person in your life.

The Civil War Round Table of Durham will meet at 7 p.m. on May 15 at the Bennett Place State Historic Site, 4409 Bennett Memorial Road.

The speaker is Jim Wise, whose topic is "On Sherman's Trail: The Civil War's North Carolina Climax."
