Did you know that Durham Technical Community College has a campus in North Durham?

Durham Tech began serving students at the Northern Durham Center in 1993. During that fall semester, the center registered students for 71 curriculum courses and 12 continuing education courses. Since that time, the Northern Durham Center has increased its offerings in both curriculum and continuing education courses.

The Northern Durham Center offers a variety of University Transfer courses, as well as course work in numerous curriculum programs. It is home to the Criminal Justice, Environmental Health and Safety, Fire Service Extension, and the School-Age Education programs.

Many students come to the Northern Durham Center for a wide variety of continuing education courses and certifications. Students acquire skills in Emergency Medical Services, BioPharma and Biowork, Fire Service and Law Enforcement Extension, Motorcycle Safety, Foreign Language, Real Estate, Computer Training, and other personal enrichment courses. Plus, the center will soon be the primary location for Durham Tech's new Esthetics Technology program.

Students may also visit the Northern Durham Center to learn about Ed2Go courses. These specialized online courses provide training in areas such as accounting and finances, business plan writing, and Web page design, just to name a few.

The Northern Durham Center is conveniently located for many residents and businesses at 2401 Snowhill Road in Durham. It is adjacent to Little River Elementary School and Treyburn Healthcare. This location is convenient for employers in the area who use the facility for staff development and work force development training.

Need directions? Travel 3.3 miles north on Roxboro Street and turn right on Old Oxford Highway. Turn left on Snowhill Road just beyond the Eno River bridge at the Durham Tech sign. Look for Durham Tech's Northern Center approximately 1.6 miles on the right.
